Someone finished a course on Thursday that did not exist on Monday.

A 40-minute transcript went into Lesson Forge. Six lessons came out. Two of them needed me — the assessment questions were confidently wrong, which is the failure mode worth watching for.

I ran everything on my own hardware for a week. Here is the bill.

$61 in electricity. Nine hours of setup and babysitting. It replaced $23 of API spend.

On the money alone that is a bad trade. The useful finding is narrower: bulk transcription won, and won clearly. Everything else lost.

If you are considering the move, measure the specific workload first.
